Groucho is one of a group of 8 rabbits that came from a cruelty/neglect situation. He was severely urine stained and quite fearful of humans when he was transferred to IHRS. Groucho has really come a long way and has blossomed into a very friendly boy! He's a sweet and mellow rabbit who will give kisses on the nose and loves being pet!
Note: At the time of rescue, Groucho had eyebrows, just like Groucho Marx. Now that his nutritional status has improved, his eyebrows have disappeared but the name stuck :)
Groucho is very grateful to be housed indoors. He loves his hay and greens and will usually flop out to relax after eating his evening salad. He enjoys toys - tossing willow cubes, chewing on cardboard boxes and shredding phones books are among his favorite things.
His foster mom finds it delightful that when Groucho goes through major sheds, he gets the most beautiful patterns on his ears, nose and feet. During the summer, he had an awesome zig-zag pattern on his ears. He's currently sporting a cute brown polka dot on his nose :-)
