Maxie, a male beagle about 10 years old, was adopted from us 3 years ago. The couple that adopted him took very good care of him and two other beagles but sadly the husband died about a year ago and left the wife, a wonderful person, with to many pets to take care of by herself. She works long hours and just can no longer manage and we are working to find new homes for the three dogs, two that were adopted from us and another they rescued on their own. All three get along great with dogs, kids, cats, and everyone they meet. They are very happy dogs. Maxie is in good health generally but does have arthiritus that some days you don't notice at all and other days makes him a bit stiff and sore but he does get around ok. He has become overweight in the last year or so and he will need to lose some pounds. He is an awesome dog and a real sweetheart. Contact Mindy at [email removed] to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Our adoption fees are $100 if over 5 years, $125 if younger than 5 years but older than 1 year, and $175 if younger than 1 year. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.
