For sale is a xxxx Dodge Dart located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This is not your run of the mill, low horsepower xxxx Dart folks. This beast was built with one thing in mind, to go FAST!!!! This xxxx Dodge Dart is powered by a 408 CID Stroker small block V8 engine, backed by a 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a 8 3/4 rear end with 4.30 gears. The engine was professionally built by Mike Liston at MRL Performance and started with a new 360 CID Magnum block that was bored and stroked out to 408 CID. Internally a forged Scat crankshaft was dropped in with I-Beam Rods and Pistons, along with a Comp Cams Solid Roller cam and lifters. A set of Hughes Stage 3 CNC ported Edelbrock Aluminum Heads with 208 Valves were put on with Lunati Roller Rockers, Custom NASCAR Push Rods, and was then topped with an Aluminum M1 Intake, a Biggs 750 CFM Carburetor, and a Custom Ram Air Intake setup. This combination puts out an astonishing 590 Horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 551 ft./lbs. of Torque at 5,200 rpm! This car does come with the Dyno report and paperwork for the engine build. To handle all the power a "A&A Competition Plus" 727 TorqueFlite Reverse Manual transmission fitted was selected with a Jack Lupo torque converter and runs to a 8 3/4" rear end with 4.30 Auburn gears and Strange Axles. A list of other performance parts include: Front Disc Brakes, Flaming River Steering Box, B&M Pro Ratchet Shifter, 3" Exhaust System with Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers, 8 Quart Oil Pan, Caltracs Rear Suspension System, Custom Drop Sump Gas Tank, Mallory Fuel Pump, and MSD 7AL Ignition, Coil, and Wires.
Not only will this car get up and go, it looks great doing it! The body was stripped and painted in a beautiful Medium Olive Green paint with new front and rear bumpers, tail lights, and side markers put on that make this an absolute show stopper. The interior still sports its original tan cloth seat covers with new carpeting and looks amazing against the green exterior. In order to keep the body from twisting under all the power this Dart is putting down, a roll cage was put in and has a removable bar in the back to allow rear passengers easier access into the back seat.
